The yarn is first opened up and warp is made by female family members of the weavers. The weavers who actually weave the rugs are the male family members. So in the production of Sahara, the entire family is engaged in work. And post weaving, it also provides employment to many semi-skilled labour who are engaged in latexing, whipping, third backing, clipping and final finishing and lastly packing.
